In the vicinity of Wormer lies a beautiful nature reserve: the Wormer and Jisperveld. A low-lying area that, thanks to the many water mills, would be an enormous lake. The area is surrounded by dikes from which you have a magnificent view. You cycle along charming villages in a truly Dutch landscape. It is also the area of the Defense Line of Amsterdam, so you will be surprised by robust forts. But don't forget to enjoy the many birds.
Bicycle route Beemster and Purmerend.
Purmerend, Middenbeemster, Noordbeemster
A beautiful part of North Holland with different landscapes. The eastern part of the cycle route goes along straight canals and the polder landscape as we know it from the beautiful calendar photos. Not for nothing world heritage. The western part of the route is very different: you meander along the Zuidbeemster. Along the way you pass beautiful spots and charming villages.

Engewormer, Wormerveer, Zaandijk, Westzaan, Zaandam
Enjoy cycling through authentic Dutch landscapes! You will pass by the Zaanse Schans, so on this cycling route, you will undoubtedly encounter windmills. But the Hembrug Museum and the Czaar Peterhuisje are also excellent starting points. However, the highlight is the mills that played a crucial role in winning the battle against water. You will also partially pass through an industrial area, so you should appreciate a bit of industry on this cycling route!
